What`s the effection of Glyoxylic acid 50% in semi-permanent?
Currently, there are three methods used for straightening curly, frizzy or wavy hair.
a. Using a simple treatment with electric plates consisting of two hot plates (at a temperature higher than 100°C). The hair is placed between the two plates and compressed to achieve the desired style.
b. Chemical treatment combined with low-temperature mechanical processing: A chemical substance is applied to the hair, which causes a change in the hair when treated at a temperature below 100°C.
c. Chemical treatment combined with high-temperature mechanical processing: A chemical substance is applied to the hair and treated at a temperature higher than 100°C. Due to the combination of heat and the chemical substance applied to the hair, this technique can cause more significant changes in the hair than those achieved by other techniques.
A semi-permanent method for straightening human hair, comprising the following steps:
a) Applying glyoxylic acid solution onto the hair;
b) Allowing the solution to remain in contact with the hair for 30-120 minutes;
c) Drying the hair with a hair dryer;
d) Using aflat iron set at a temperature of approximately 200+/-30°C to straighten the hair.
If the hair was previously curly or frizzy, Glyoxylic acid can alter the hair’s texture to obtain a straight shape and maintain it for at least six hair washes. The semi-permanent change in the hair’s texture can persist under typical usage conditions and repeated hair washing.
