TAED Features
Tetraacetylethylenediamine (TAED) is an efficient low-temperature oxygen bleaching activator.It can promote the oxygen bleaching agent unique functions of whitening, brightening, disinfection and sterilization under low temperature conditions.
TAED reacts easily with peroxide to form peracetic acid in an alkaline environment, whose bleaching performance is stronger than hydrogen peroxide at lower temperatures.
Tetraacetylethylenediamine releases of peracetic acid when TAED reacts with alkaline peroxide via the process of perhydrolysis. The first perhydrolysis gives triacetylethylenediamine (TriAED) and the second gives diacetylethylenediamine (DAED).
TAED Use
Tetraacetylethylenediamine (TAED) has been successfully added to washing powder and dish washing agent in the washing industry.
TAED is usually used together with sodium percarbonate or sodium perborate in detergents and dishwashing agents.
And it has strong functions of bleaching, disinfecting and sterilizing.
At the same time, TAED helps to reduce the bleaching damage of cotton fabrics and the reaction products can be biodegraded.TAED is an ideal bleaching auxiliary.
