Ethylene urea Use
Ethylene urea is intermediates of fine chemicals and a formaldehyde scavenger. Ethylene urea can use with glyoxal 40% as a textile anti wrinkle finishing agent. It is also a material for making resins, plasticizer, paint, and adhesives.
Textiles
Ethylene urea has anti wrinkle in textiles. It can also control formaldehyde pungent odor, and suppress formaldehyde release. Cotton products main component is long chain cellulose. It has much hydrogen bonding space. They are randomly reassembled after destroyed by heat or external forces ,which forms fabric wrinkles. When Ethylene urea and formaldehyde or glyoxal 40% are used together to treat fabrics, they can react with exposed hydroxyl groups.
