Amino Trimethylene Phosphonic Acid (ATMP) is a phosphonic acid derivative. Together with organophosphoric acid, polycarboxylic acid and salt, Amino Trimethylene Phosphonic Acid builds all organic alkaline water treatment agent. It is suitable for many different circulating cool water systems.

ATMP has good chelation, low limit inhibition, and lattice distortion effects. It can prevent the formation of scale salts in water, especially the formation of calcium carbonate scale. ATMP has stable chemical properties in water and is not easily hydrolyzed. When the concentration in water is high, it has a good corrosion inhibition effect.

Uses

Amino Trimethylene Phosphonic Acid (ATMP) is a scale and corrosion inhibitor in water treatment particularly in cooling water systems, boilers, and reverse osmosis systems. It helps to prevent scale formation and corrosion caused by metal ions like calcium, magnesium, and iron.

ATMP is also a chelating agent in detergents and cleaners, personal care products including shampoos and soaps, textile, oil and gas industry, metal surface treatment, and paper manufacturing.
