Glyoxylic Acid, also Oxoacetic Acid, or Glyoxalic acid is the simplest aldehydic acid. Its formula is C2H2O3. Same as glycolic acid, it is one of carboxylic acids. In 1856,HENRY DEBUS, Ph.D. discovered glyoxylic acid. In 1868, Perkin found of glyoxylic acid monohydrate.
